    Lattice Quilt (3rd Ever Quilt)

It's finally done!!! Just pulled it out of the dryer and couldn't wait to get pictures!!

Definitely was a challenge doing this pattern still being a newbie, but I LOVED every minute of it and am actually playing a Christmas themed one eventually!!

    Thanks for looking!

I love it! Are the white "lattice pieces" part of the piecing, or are they laid on top and top-stitched?

They are a part of the piecing. Jenny from Missouri Star did a tutorial on this one . Definitely helped with the process for the top!

A lovely finish. What technique did you use for basting? It worked great to keep the quilt even. Very nice work.

A lot of people would never think to put those greens and blues together. I love this combination. Are the fabrics from a collection or your personal selection?

Your quilts are really exceptional as a beginner and it shows that you study and work to accomplish the best work you can. Well done!

Thank you so much!!! For the basting, I used my kitchen table and did a combo of spray basting and safety pins. The fabrics are from a layer cake by Freespirit Fabrics. I wish I could take credit for the color selection, but I can't.

    Thanks again for the compliments!!

I think the time is soon coming, if it hasn't already arrived, when you won't be able to call yourself a newbie anymore. Love watching the evolution of your beautiful work, keep posting!
