    Laura's Cartwheels....quilted by Charisma

Laura sent me this quilt...It's a Tula Pink Pattern called "Cartwheels"
She wanted it heavily quilted. It's going to hang on a wall....we worked together to iron out the details of everything along the way. It was a labor of love. I grew during this process. I am so thankful for the experiences that I learn along the way...both as a person and a quilter!

Laura is a very precise piecer..and honestly her piecing makes my work (easy and) look good! If she wasn't exact those lines wouldn't line up perfectly the way they do....

I quilted everything freehand on my INNOVA. No computer was used..but I did use a ruler to make the straight lines. I used two layers of batting. One layer of Warm's Soft&Bright and also a layer of hobbs polydown.

Thank you so much for looking!

WOW!!! The piecing is gorgeous but the quilting really really really finishes it off. What a stunning combination.

    Absolutely Amazing!
I can see why precise piecing made a difference in your quilting.

I love the patterns you came up with...I have no clue about machine quilting but cannot imagine this being freehand!

Very nice. I look at what you do and wonder if I will every get that good. I'm looking at starting my own longarm business and am just working on the small business loan aspect and alot of research.

Awesome! This reminds me of the paper scrolls we used to make in Art class oh so many years ago. It just pops out! How long does it take you to do a quilt with all this intricate detail?
