    Layer cake Disappearing 9 Patch

Just finished this square quilt. It didn't take long and I really enjoyed making it. It is Moda Sunnyside Fabric, just one layer cake cut into 5" squares with some plain colours added to stretch it a bit. I have no scraps, a first for me. I used every square I cut and was able to use the leftover ones for the back.
It is for one of grandson's teachers who has not been well lately and I think she will appreciate the comfort of a quilt now and then during her recovery.
    Hope you like it.

Great finish on a wonderful quilt. This colorful quilt should make her very happy when she is uses it. Looks warm and cuddly.

Beautiful quilt! And what a kind gesture. Prayers go out to a fellow teacher. Once again, I'll say that the D9P is my go-to pattern. And your quilting is awesome.

I really think your quilt is lovely and such a lovely idea. I also appreciate your description of the process you used. The DP9 is a real go-to workhorse when you need to do a quilt quickly and it has so many variations. Your quilting certainly enhances the design. I know the recipient will be touched by your generosity.

I really like what you did with the quilting! I'm working on a D9P table runner in Easter fabrics. It really is a great pattern.
