Wow thanks you guys!!! I love it too. I'm going to have a hard time parting with it. lol. However, it's for my sons 'friend'. He's in Afghanistan and they'll re-evaluate their relationship when he get's home. They were high school sweethearts first couple years of HS. I loved her then and even though they broke up, she and I remained close, discreetly of course, and I love her as though she were one of my own. Our whole family does. So when he asked for her phone number late last year, I was hesitant to give it to him.... Knowing she still loved him, but not sure where he stood (having just gotten divorced from a cheater).... However, I gave it to him and they reconnected. Yay!! I would LOVE for them to end up together. SO, long story short, this quilt is for her.

As they say, "I'll get by with a little help from my friends." This looks terrific as it is and will be completely enhanced by the borders. Great job!

I'm OCD too and the placement is perfect. The border will just highlight the beautiful design. Be sure to post when it is done. Great job so far.

We really can become OCD (or CDO, if we must alphabetize) when it comes to our quilting! I love it just the way it is. I'd put a red border on it and quilt it as is. It is really very pretty, so don't change a thing!

This is the largest quilt I've done thus far and now that it's up on the design wall I'm scared! haha! Going to get red inner border to go with my pink floral outer border. I'm pretty pleased. I'm going to mess with the blocks a little more, ie: play with the pattern placements, but other than that I am going to try to quit being ocd and just go with it.

Looks great, but I have a question before you begin quilting - as we are looking at this on the screen, I noticed on the bottom left that one strip with a darker red block is going at a different diagonal direction from the others - is this the way it is meant to be? I just don't want you to get going really good, and quilt this and it may be in the wrong place. Please don't think I am being critical, but I did notice this. Hope you don't mind my telling you about it.

I did not comment on your previous post but wanted to say your latest layout looks great and so glad you fixed that block on the bottom. I am in the process of making this same quilt (Buckeye Beauty). Mine is all in browns, tans, blacks and grays. I have half my blocks done. Hope mine ends up looking as good as yours.
