    earthwalker, Yes, they can be done without a ruffler by just gathering the edge. I thought all vintage machines came with a ruffler, LOL. I haven't tried mine yet.

    Kath, your flowers are very pretty. Are you going to do a tutorial?

    Kenington, we started this group on our own every first Saturday of the month after Missouri Sewing Machine's Buzz Club. Ruth, the store manager, encouraged us to use the class space in the store to hold our mini retreat. We started the retreats because when someone showed something they made during Buzz Club, we all wanted that person to show us how they did it. I have learned so much and it is always fun to sit and sew with friends.

    Remember, people will see your quilts long after you are gone....NOT your housework!
