    I didn't use a pattern. I used the full width of the fabric and put the seam in the back, then squared the corner for the bottom. Made the lining the same way (added a few pockets to lining). I made bound button holes to put the handles thru so they would not spoil the look of the quilting. The handles do actually go to the bottom and I tacked them down with a few extra quilting stitches. Then topped it off with a zipper placket. Now that I have typed it out, it sounds complicated, but it really was the simplest kind of bag to make.

    Oh golly, I just love this. I make beach bags and sometimes I make fancy ones for gifts etc. This is way beautiful. I would love to have it. Would not want to show my friends though, they would all bug me for one. lol Great job, perfect to me.
