I like #1 and #3. With #1 I would scatter mini palm trees in the border. #3 gives a sunset effect, but would you go #3 all the way around or put #3 to the top portion (above the water line) and #1 to the bottom portion (below the water line)?

Not sure .... I've considered different borders on different parts but haven't come up with any flashes of brilliance yet.

Maybe instead of palm fronds I'll see borders in my sleep tonight and figure it all out.

The first one ties it all together really nice and classy looking; for a 'Wow' factor, #3 is a fun, bright and bold beach look.

I like #3 - it reminds me too of the sunset on the beach. Plus the palm fronds extended up into the border that color will look great.

#1 - all I see is border & the palm tree trunks. Dark, no lightness, & never even looked up at the palm fronds.

#2 Would be ok - if you weren't going to extend the pam fronds onto the border. Too much green

But hey - that's just my opinion! Take what works & leave what doesn't. Will be neat to see your finished quilt & see what you did.
