Sorry you poked your finger. Been there and have done that! Love the happy print on the panel! The pink background and green stripe binding fabric match perfectly. It is sure to be loved.

This is such a sweet little quilt that will surely put a smile on some child's face.
For children's quilts I have started doing a machine-sewn binding with flange. The contrasting flange adds a fun pop of color ... I love to use striped fabric whenever I can. Plus a binding that is all done by machine is very strong, stands up well to the "use & abuse" that only a child can give to a quilt. And the best part for me is no poked fingers.
