Default Lighthouse quilt for hubby

I hand pieced this quilt for my husband for a Christmas gift a few years ago. I finally finished it. I had to drive my daughter to school so instead of coming home I stayed and sewed. One of her teachers suggested I add flags to it. My husband was in the Navy so after figuring out each flag I thought it would make it all pop. These are Navy nautical flags. Each flag is a letter of the alphabet and when flown vertical on the left spells Michigan and the right side is lighthouses. The pictures are lighthouse in Michigan. My husband loves lighthouses and we have seen all of them in Michigan that you can get to by a car. A wonderful quilter in my guild, Barb Lusk did an amazing job of quilting it for me. The rays radiate out from the beams of each light. In the black sashing she quilted chains and there a anchors in each of the cornerstones. Barb is a wonderful longarm quilter. My husband was so happy he finally got his quilt. Now to finish the binding.

I have to post a picture of the back. It is black fabric but the quilting shows off beautifully. Thanks Barb.
