Beautiful fabric, and you used it to perfection! I agree that stitch-in-the-ditch would be great for the pieced blocks. Maybe square in a square for the floral blocks to sort of 'echo' the center of the pieced blocks, but not as much detail. Even easier, if you're worried about so many straight lines, just cross hatch the floral blocks, and the eye would be drawn to the pieced blocks that you worked so hard on!

    Thank you for comments again.
Marbear, no pattern - but it took me forever to come up with something because I had bought the fabric in 2006 (Hancocks Paducah) and of course not enough. But I managed to find some in UK in a sale last year to top it up.
I only know of one retailer who still has it there,
    http://www.studio39.biz/acatalog/CAT_67.html
but of course it is expensive in UK.
Conblond, what a shame for you - the perfume is the best isn't it - that and lily-of-the-valley.

I have allergies too. sad to say, but it is because we are exposed to something, we develop the allergy over time. Lilacs are wonderful.

That is beautiful. Excellent job. Do you have a quilting machine or do it on a regular sewing machine?

ooOO Birdy, now I'm ashamed to admit I only have this half quilted 12 months on - it's given me the incentive to get it finished!!

Gai - it was a range from Timeless Treasures - Fleur - but I bought it in 2006 from Hancocks and didnt touch it for a couple of years, but I just had to have it! There is one UK outlet still with most of the range
    http://www.studio39.biz/acatalog/CAT_67.html

Danmar - I have a Janome 6600P, which I'm more adventurous on now than I was 12 months ago, so all the better reason to get on and finish it.

Thanks ladies - will get on with it now!

Gorgeous! I want to redo my bedroom in purple and plan on making a king size quilt for our bed. I am trying to gather enough material right now so when I have time to start the expensive part will be done.. hahaha...
