    Lilly Pad's Pinwheel Quilt

Well, finally finished this quilt for my sister's newest grand baby. Its similar to her big sister's quilt (The quilt from hell) which I hadn't noticed till I was finished with it. But I think there's enough differences to it they won't notice.

This is the 1st time I tried my hand with metallic thread on my quilt machine. I slowed the speed down and used a side spool holder so the thread came off the spool straight instead of twisted. Had no problems at all so I'll be using metallic again soon on a wall hanging ready to be quilted. Anyway, hope you like it. I used 5 thread colors on this quilt so lots of thread changing. Made some mistakes but I feel that's just a learning step for me what not to do the next time.

I also used a bunch of the cut scraps to make up the binding and what was leftover from that I used on the pillowcase. By the time I was finished I had only 3 8" strips leftover for the scrap bin.

So pretty and the quilting is great. Sometimes the backs are as pretty as the front.

Oh! This is just fabulous. All the color changes must have been a challenge. You have to be real organized to pull this
off! Wonderful! Love the little frog too!
