Linus Connection quilts - may/june
#1
As you all know I create tops for Linus Connection in Central Texas. When I finally got moved here in April I brought 24 tops with me. Then I started sewing and brought 26 to the May meeting. This group is the latest batch. I even tried my hand at machine quilting so 2 of the tops are actually completed quilts (will try more one day). And it never fails - dead calm until I try to take pictures.
Please wait till all load as there about 14 of them.
I do have a request for all you wonderful quilters out there. Our group uses the Hobbs Batting UPC symbols to get discounted rates on end bolts of batting (factory up in Waco). They recently changed the amount needed to 5 UPC's. So my request is if you use Hobbs batting and have no use for the UPC symbol would you all be so kind as to mail them to me. Just PM me and I will give my address. You can even save up a batch so as to combine mailing. Even asking those in your quilt guilds would be ever so nice.
In 11 years this group has made over 20,000 blankets/quilts for those who need them and the demand is ever growing. Such a worthy cause. I know quilters are generous as we are forever 'giving' away our beautiful work. Thank you so much for any help you can give. Carol

The color is off on this - its actually a deep wine red and gray/brown so pretty together

two of the fabrics came from Linus Connection and the 3rd I actually had in my stash. First time my pinwheels came together so well. I love this one.

Beautiful blues - I almost hated to cut up the batiks. I made an error and had to adjust but it turned out so nice. I love this one too

I actually tried a more difficult block and guess what - it worked. Only one diamond did not come together correctly. Anyone loving orange should like this quilt

And last but not least another orange - stretching the fabric to use as much as possible
