    Just today I Retayned some red marbled fabric to make one of these. I saw a finished quilt done with a red background and shades of gray/black for the cross in a quilt shop. Last year I made this pattern with brown tones and an off-white background. It was intended for the Bible camp quilt auction, but my mom liked it, so it on her door at the senior apartment complex.

    I think there are many color combinations that would look nice in this pattern, and I like yours a lot!

    Thanks for all the kind comments. The colors were chosen because the husband is a hunter and the green and brown are forest leaves. They both enjoy the woods and vacation at a cabin in the woods.

    Lovely work. It’s on my “to do” list. The greens are peaceful and I imagine the recipient(s) are pleased and happy. Wonderful gift.
