I'm working on a my first log cabin quilt and am *amazed* at all the possibilities when laying out the pieced blocks! I can't decide which I like best, and I am certain there are even more layouts available.

Would you please share a picture of your favorite LC layout? Thanks!

I have all the blocks sewn for a log cabin top myself. Can't wait to see the responsed to your question. I have arranged and rearranged too many times to count. If you type log cabin into search, you will find quite a few good ideas.

Mine are just small wall hangings, so you would have a lot more options with a larger quilt.

This is one of my many UFOs :oops: WIP sounds so much better, Iknow we'll call it a long term WIP :lol: . Is still in blocks but this is how I intend to assemble it. Will have more blocks than this but this is the overall layout.

WIP = Work In Progress
UFO = UnFinished Object

all references to "the F-Word", by the way, are to the work "finished". around here, that's practically a 1st class cussword. :lol:

PIG = Project In Grocerysack (as in you've bought the stuff but haven't started the project yet.)

PIMTWI = Project In My Twisted Imagination

beautiful quilts cynde! shelleyq, those are some great blocks! can't wait to see the f****ed project!

Thanks for the inspiration ladies. I have sewn my blocks and will post a picture soon....it's similar to shelley's setting, but a *little* different than any I've seen before. I absolutely love it!

danna, can't wait to see what you come up with, too!
