Default log cabin with a lens optical illusion

this pattern Is by lerusisik and thanks to her she has posted a free pattern. This was a challenging quilt but fun there is a picture tutorial in Russian is show a better way of putting it together then I did. I found it after I had finished it

the 1st pic is the front the 2nd is the back I also enlarged the pattern

​That is super cool!! Nice of you to provide the link to the designer as her foreword talks about people coping her design without giving the source.

Your quilt is fantastic, very well done. I found the instructions and printed off the templates a while back, but haven't had the courage to start making the quilt. Enlarging the pattern sounds like a good idea. The back is just perfect for that quilt.

A pregnant quilt! How cool!

I remember making some like this in a couple of Marilyn Doheny's workshops in Houston years ago. After class, a good friend who had been down the hall in some other workshop came by to see what we'd made. We had her hold up one of the lap sized quilts and didn't tell her that it made her look pregnant. She actually was pregnant, but hadn't told us until, laughing, we showed the (polaroid) picture! The joke was on us!

This quilt here is wonderful!
