Someone asked if the quilts were stiff and heavy. Since I've made a few and use them regularly I think I can answer that.
When you first make these reversible, quilt then assemble quilts, they are a bit stiff. You have to take into account the amount of thread and the extra seams that go into the assembling the quilt. That said however, the more you use the quilts the softer and more pliable they are. The lap quilts I use daily are soft as butter and I can snuggle up in them.
When you look at Betty's website, be sure to check out all the additional patterns she has available along with her books. Each one is just beautiful.

That is the most beautiful log cabin I have seen!!! The log cabin is my favorite!

WOW! this is more like a work of art, that a quilt.. So pretty.. and you inspire me to keep working on this king sized paper piecing log cabin quilt I am doing right now.. I know it sounds odd, but paper piecing a log is the only way I can do it without getting all turned around in the light /dark placements, lol.. I want to be like you! :)
