Sure you can Jodie. Log Cabins are fun to do in my opinion. I love making them, and you can mix and match and rearrange the blocks to make so many patterns. Eleanor Burns book Log Cabin Quilt in a Day is a great book for learning the process. And I realize you and Mary aren't exactly next door neighbors with the size of Ft. Worth - Dallas area, but perhaps you could p m her and get her phone number to call her if you have a problem arise. Or just ask here on the board, everyone here is so willing to help with problems. I say "try it you'll like it", have fun. Why not just try the block for a pillow top or for a table runner, before diving into a quilt if you are leary about anything.

GORGEOUS!!!! I plan to do the same thing using whites for one side of the block. Love your quilting....nice job :-D
