    I would also suggest taking it to the fabric store. They will each look differently and that way you could see which one adds that POP to it and how it changes with each one. Your star looks pretty so far.... I am partial to stars.

    have you thought about maybe using some grayish batiks? there are probably some that are a bit pinky grey that might work. just a thought.

    I agree with taking to a quilt shop. I have no help for color!! Very nice Lone Star! You really crank out quilts!! :thumbup:

    I think all of the suggestions so far would work. I would concentrate on sky blue, probably a small pattern that is random or curvy. Nothing geometric. This is going to be a great quilt; I can't wait to see it finished.
