Default Look of the old in a beautiful new quilt

I will never understand how Carolyn is able to put together her beautiful quilts. The patterns and fabrics that she chooses are always the perfect match. This one is no exception. We chose Hobbs 80/20 batting and a beige thread throughout. Carolyn just told me to do "whatever" I wanted, but she did not want me to use a pantograph pattern on it. After loading the sandwich I stitched across the rolls, following the pieced fabrics with a serpentine stitch to stabilize the quilt. Then I went back an stitched circles of feathers within each block. What Fun!!! Loved quilting this top. I believe I had it half done before I took a break - just didn't want to stop working on it. It's great to earn a living doing something this much fun!
