How fortunate you are! Oh and I agree....give her a name. Maybe name her after your grandmother or your friend's MIL. Let us know what you decide, I would love to know.

Wish I had one of those beauties.

warm quilt hugs, sue in CA

Now, I'm feeling really guilty! The house we bought had the most beautiful Singer treadle machine I have ever seen. The table part with drawers didn't look that great, but the machine itself was beautiful and ornate. Are you ready for this?? We sold it to the inspection guy. He said he collects them. I didn't want to sell it, but money was an issue at that point. I've kinda been sick ever since.

What a sweetie. You've reminded me that I have an old black machine in an old cabinet that is hiding under a stack of old bedspreads in my old sewing room. Guess what I'll be doing tomorrow.....thanx

Can I say.."I hate you!"
I am so jealous of anyone that owns a FW...
I can never find a great deal or get one with that history...which I would love to have. Oh wells, good for you!!! Enjoy!!!!

In the early '60's I made all my clothes for high school
on a machine like the one shown.
