    I think the clerks/workers at our thrift stores buy up the good stuff before it gets to the sale floor, because I very rarely see anything sewing/quilting related. Consider yourself fortunate. I love your "find" and I love the price. Congrats.

    it was likely a trivet. Might want to give it a coat of mineral oil to protect it from drying. Beautiful.
