Love your quilt and the color choices. AND I learned something new: BQ quilts. I had not heard that term before. Love learning new stuff!

Tried to google Maple Island Quilt and the message was no matches. I've got to make a Green Bay Packers Quilt and this would fill the bill

I recognize that fabric! I think it's at least 30 years old--and I think I still have some! I'll have to dig around and find it. You have inspired me with that beautiful quilt to do something with all my decades-old fabrics.

I Googled it & found an episode of Sewing with Nancy about this pattern. My computer is very slow, so it showed for a little bit & it's buffering right now.

I love your quilt also. Perfect choices of coordinating fabrics!!!

I, too, love drafting my own patterns. It's a lot of fun being creative and coming up with something new and different. Of course, just because it's new to me, doesn't mean it's new in the quilting world. LOL But I have come up with a few patterns that no one has remembered seeing before, and that is really fun and exciting!

I plan to do a cross hatch on the floral squares, but don't know what to do on the rest. Any suggestions?
I'm very sorry to tell you that the only suggestion I can make would be for you to carefully fold it, put it in a box with my address and send it to me! Lol! I love gray and pink and would happily give it a new home! Your quilt is fabulous! Nice job, but what is the name of the pattern you copied it from? What does "BQ" mean?
