Wow, I hope you show your sister all these compliments! I love the checkerboard idea for a table topper. The watermelon theme is great. Did you know the topper was a watermelon theme before buying the cake, or was it a coincidence?

She said that she looked up an official checker board online to figure out how many squares there were on a board and it has 64 squares (8X8) so she made that many and her's were 3 in squares but you could make them whatever size you want. I think she said that she was going to get big buttons for the checkers.
