Look what was in my yard today

We have 2 "families" as we call them. They come through every day. I took pics of them in the hurricane. They went out for lunch. :)
I was looking at my flower garden and noticed they scratched in the one area, digging up some tulip bulbs. Bad turkeys!
We've had to wait in the driveway for the family to cross. Love our turkey families and watching the babies grow over the summer.

Cover the breast with strips of bacon. Wrap ends of the legs in foil, cook at a slightly lower heat than commercially fattened ones. Add a touch more sage to the sausage dressing to counteract the wild taste....
Always (at least in the CA hills) check the gizzard for gold nuggets, turkeys and geese have been known to find them.
