I think it looks great and is very pretty. Batiks are so cool because pretty much all batiks go with batiks. I find I stress over color placement with batiks, sometimes, and then once they are all sewn together they look so much better than I thought. Add borders and stand back and squint! It will look so nice!!

I agree, you're way to hard on yourself. I really love it!

I love the colors, where your problems lie are in the multiple bias edges on long narrow strips. When I do a log cabin which is similar except the strips arent bias, I have to use a foundation in order to keep the strips aligned. Putting points together is always difficult!

Looks good to me! Aren't we our own worst critics. I know I am hard on myself but your top looks just fine.

It's UNIQUE! Love the colors ... don't be so hard on yourself. Each & every project is different ... just don't tell anybody what's wrong with it! They'll never notice!

Default Ain't the end of the world

The same thing has happened to many of us, but it's awfully frustrating when you think of all the time and money your efforts took. Sometimes there's just serious jet lag between the wonderful idea and the finished product. I remember when I'd been quilting about a year, I selected pattern and could hardly wait to start. Even told my sister how excited I was about the quilt I was making for my own bed. Know what? I hated it! Don't know what happened, but I hated it. It's still in a box somewhere. Maybe I should pull it out and finish it now. My only suggestion is to chalk it up to a learning experience and then put it away for awhile. When you take it out again you will be able to look at it without being so critical.

It is wonderful. It's difficult being a perfectionist. The watercolor is beautiful. Call it a crazy quilt, no problem then.
