Love Birds - another block for the Humane Society quilt

Thank you all!
I hope this block is as well received by the recipient of the finished quilt.
I imagine the quilt will consist largely of cat and dog blocks, so this should add variety if nothing else.
I'm dropping off this last block today, and I guess voting starts next week.
I believe I get to vote on the blocks, too!

Thank you all!
After I finished, I did question whether I had made the right decision on the background. It's nice to get the positive feedback. I was going to work in a heart shaped frame, but I couldn't find a combination of fabrics that I liked, I didn't want to embroider it, and I was running out of enthusiasm!

My most memorable experience with lovebirds - when I stayed in the Poconos years ago, Mount Airy Lodge had a whole glassed-in aviary full of lovebirds in the ladies' room lounge!
It was so unexpected! Outside the door, men would try peeking in to see them. I wonder if they still have it.
