In answer to MargeD....here is the one i'm working on now, with the blocks just laid out. My next one i am going to try mixing up the blocks once i cut the hour glass ... for a really scrappy look. Don't know what it will turn out like - but will find out[ATTACH=CONFIG]487751[/ATTACH]

cut your starting squares a little over sized. Or after making your HST square them up. With the 2nd method you'll end up with a slightly smaller square when it comes time to cut it into 3rd's but that's why Jenny says to "measure yours" & take that number & divide by 3 because we all sew & cut different.
