    Thanks!

I don't have a commercial embroidery machine. All my work is done on the Bernina 200 with embroidery module and I too only have one needle. But hey, there are 5 and 6 needle machines available that could get my work done faster for me????!!!! lol Yes, I too, would love one of them but definitely out of my price range!

    Thanks again for the compliment!

I don't tend to use any particular size of embroidery pattern. Thanks for the compliment on planning but I really don't do much planning ahead! lol I just start doing the embroidery (because it takes so long) and then decide what I am going to do as I go along. Once the blocks are embroidered, I take a look at them and try to decide what finished size they would look best in. On the rare occasion that I do know exactly what I want to do, something happens and the plan changes!!! So really, I just do the embroidery and wing the rest! I have done embroidery patterns that are roughly 4" right up to the latest quilt top that I just completed with an 8x10" embroidery.

Sorry I can't be of more help to you but like I said, I normally just wing it and hope for the best! lol

I love them. I really need to get serious on working on my stuff. So much to do and so little time.

The butterflies embroidery is from Dakota Collectibles - Butterflies #2. The birds are Valerie Pheiffer Songbirds. She has some beautiful, beautiful bird patterns....which are still on my 'must have' list! lol Also, in case you haven't heard about sewforless.com - it is a great website. Check it out and watch for the sales!

    Hope this helps!

Now you make good use of the embroidery machine. Mine just sits there. All I use it for is quilting. Your quilts are lovely.
    Thanks for sharing.

love the bird quilt. What design is that? My mother loves birds and would love that. I have an embroidery machine and I'd love to do the birds.

Lovely quilts. Especially love the one for your DH & the P.S. on the bottom. No wonder he had a tear in his eye.
    Wonderful work.
