Maddy was so Happy to get her own machine BUT when we tried to sew it wouldn't catch the bobbin thread!!! It worked great when I tried it out so I sat down at the computer and ordered her the Janone Sew Mini! I returned the other one. She was so dissapointed but is excited about her new one comming. She kept looking at the picture and running her fingers over it. I know the Janome will be a much better machine and could get it for her because I finally, after a year got called back to work!

Maddy is so cute! I know it's hard for kids to wait on things, to them it seems forever, but she'll be thrilled when she gets the new machine.

Happy Birthday Maddy. Waiting for the Janome Sew Mini will be worth it. I got my GD a starter machine much like yours and had the same problem. Gave up and got her the Sew Mini and it is wonderful. It doesn't sew too fast and is just the right size for her, (she is 5). She sews nearly every day and it works wonderful.

Happy birthday Maddy-- Hope it was a great day for you!!
Sounds like you are getting a sewing machine just like Emily and Gillians.
You will sewing up a storm on your new machine in no time.

Thank you everyone! I will not get to be there when Maddy gets her new machine but It should be there before she goes back to her dads in 2 weeks. Her "step grandma" has offered to help her. I am excited and will have step mom take pictures. She will keep it at Dads house as it will be better cared for there. (I hope)
She had lots of fabric already cut from her "stash" and already knows the layout for the quilt. Thanks again to everyone that sent her fabric!!

I also bought my GD a Janone Mini Sew and was so surprised at how well it sews. It would be great for anyone who just needs a machine to sew up seams. I know your GD will enjoy it.
