I like the idea of a smaller border, and maybe one colored border with it - but how about one of those circles in the middle of each while block - gives you something to echo quilt around.

If you like a contemporary look, this could be a lot of fun! I like this idea. The appliqued border is also gorgeous for a more traditional look to the quilt. Looking forward to your post when it's done!Originally Posted by Greenheron
Circles are fun. Move them around to make asymmetrical arrangement . Overlap some on the cabin blocks. Make small groups or lines of circles. Cut a few in half! Make some smaller sizes. I don't have the ability to make a picture but I encourage you to experiment.

Yes it makes sense as with white, it shows all of the stitches; as well as seams, etc. I personally do not care for white in any quilt as the eye is drawn to the seams and fold over pressing. Just my opinion. However, the colored blocks are outstanding! Tks. G

We thought you were asking for ideas. I like your circles. I like that you added many more making them closer together as a border. Very vibrant and alive colors.

I agree. Also like quilt to u wilt's idea about having a smaller white border and adding a red border.Originally Posted by piepatch
I like Arleners version, but whatever you do, I would leave off the circles.
