    I like the idea of appliqué in the white blocks. Lose the circles -they would be best for another project. The colors you chose for the log cabin blocks is fabulous, though!

    I would add colored strips in the borders. Maybe red/orange and purple.

    I think a narrow white with a color border would be better, it would not take away from the log cabins!

    If you really like the circles, place them unevenly in 2's or 3's in the white blocks, then make the white border smaller and add a border in a color you like.

    I think the white squares are to much so would add some color there. Maybe using Mrs. Fitz's idea of using the circles in the white squares. I to would add a colored border and make the white inner border smaller. Would like to see the quilt when you are decide what to do and finish it.

    I don't care for the circles either but the colored border looks really nice with it. Pretty quilt.
