That is absolutely beautiful!

I never put them into a quilt, but one year, my basenji participated in the costume contest at our national, and she won!
Her costume was just a bunch of show ribbns she had won over the years, and titled
"The most expensive costume ever made!"
Just last night my oldest son gave me a box of various ribbons he had won over the years, in various things. There was something in me that just couldn't throw them away, what a grand idea!

Awsome! What a neat way to display all the ribbons and congrats to your DD for winning them. You are both great.

I don't know you, but I am so proud of what you have done for your daughter! It is a well-planned quilt and more of an heirloom than most of us will ever accomplish.
It is so wonderful to think of the love, energy, and resources that went into making this quilt possible and I cannot imagine that your gift and creativity wasn't greeted with love and adoration - - as any appreciative daughter and family would most naturally offer.
The love you exercised as you kept all those ribbons and encouraged your daughter simply shines through each stitch.
You have set a fine example for all of us to follow <wave>
