Yes it is about time for this one to be finished. This has been a thorn in my side for over a year and for some reason I just could not work on it but a little here and there. At least I have it done and she can have it to use.

As always this one was done start to finish on a treadle!

I ended up using 3 machines for this quilt, a 1911 Singer 27 VS machine for the blocks, a 1921 Singer 66-1 Red Eye for assembling the blocks and borders, and my 1948 Universal Model 15 to FMQ and to bind the quilt.

Nice work! Some quilts seem to take more think time. I'm working on one like that right now. I figure it out, don't like it, figure it out again, repeat. I think my grandson has given up on ever getting his quilt.

I know your daughter will love this. I especially like the hear pattern you've quilted on the border.

Great quilt. I like how you used the JD fabric in the snowballs.

    Thanks for the compliments! :D

For some reason the photos really do not show the details like it does in person. The binding is red and the last part of the border is orange, the thread I used in the center of the quilt is a green variegated, and the backing is a bright yellow.

I told myself yesterday I was going to finish come heck or high water and by golly I did at 11:30 last night. Holly has not seen it yet but I have it on her bed waiting for her to come home from school and see it.

Funny thing is the other day she was asking me if I would make her some quilts to take to collage next year so she can have a part of her daddy to snuggle with when she is away.

I will miss that little twerp.......
