Default Mary's flower patch

I call this one Mary's Flower Patch. Mary spent time looking for just the right floral fabrics with black backgrounds to make this special quilt. Each block is a different floral fabric. I love how she used a two tone sashing set on point. I used Hobbs black 80/20 batting and changed the thread color to match the flowers in the blocks the best I could. And as you know by now I like to use the same thread in the bobbin that is in the needle - this case made for an interesting backing! Freehand feathers are stitched in each block with some serpentine stitching in the sashings, coming back with feathers stitched in the outside border. So sorry that the picture of the back side of the quilt came out blurred. As always I quilt on a non computerized machine with no stitch regulator. Whatever happens happens!! Thank goodness my customers are very forgiving!!!

I really like that quilt. Blocks on point are a favorite of mine & I like how she used the light & dark sashing between the blocks. It really makes the blocks pop. Do you know the name of the pattern? Great work on the quilting on this one.

She made good fabric choices. The dual sashing is a great improvement over the usual for this pattern. Your quilting is just right for this.
