I like the quilt, but I think I would litterly shoot my husband if he pulled a stunt like that. You didn't say you had voluntereed to do the quilt before your husband promised the quilt.
I don't offer DH's time or skills to anyone without his permission first, and he knows not to offer mine. It is just an unwritten word around here. We both give our time freely to others, but we offer it ourselves.
