Your Mom will be thrilled when she opens her mail and sees this awesome door hanging. I like the flower fabric you chose for the borders and the tiny checkerboard
as the bottom border. You are having fun with your stash.

How many of us remember hanging May baskets on doors??I lived in a small village in Maine as a child and we made small paper baskets and put wild flowers in them. Then we would hand the baskets on the door handle of elderly folks, ring the door bell and run and hide. We would come out and yell "surprise" when they found the baskets. Lots of fun and a nice walk in the woods and fields to find the flowers. A lovely tradition that has been lost
