    done that too -- actually you can cut the piece away from the quilting ! I used small scissors and bright lighting to make sure I cut accurately....then you don't have to rip the quilting.

    I was cutting fabric, when I cut a corner(it was folded), Teflon pressing sheet! Oh, boy! Accidents happen....

    Yes, that's an easy fix if you trim as close to the stitching as possible on one side of the stitching, then pull it away from the stitching on the other side. Funny though!
