lovrazz.....I echo your thoughts on putting a "ribbon" on cancer quilts for anyone....very depressing. Why do they have to reminded of their illness 24 hours a day? A beautiful quilt such as the one you are giving allows them some comfort and perhaps allows their thoughts to drift to happier times. The ribbon only draws them back to stark reality.

I should add that I lost my step-father, mother, sister, high school sweet-heart to cancer, and I am a survivor of cancer. I wanted happy peaceful thoughts for each of them.

That is a really pretty quilt. I would think the pastel colors would be very soothing. Your quilting is very nice. Like the way it shows up.

I gave her the quilt yesterday and she loved it. She said it was her two favorite colors lavender and pink. I didn't know that. Thank you all for the wonderful comments.

You must be going through a lot too over your friend. God be with you both and her family. The quilt is lovely and I have heard they get cold during chemo. I hope this brings her some comfort.

Beautiful !! I made a warm wishes quilt for my good friend who battled breast cancer. I know how emotional it is to ma
do, and so meaningful and full of love. I'm sure your friend will feel cherished as she wraps herself in her quilt.
