    Default Meadow in Bloom

My friend, Mary, and I received a donated kit called "Meadow in Bloom". We completed it to be used in a mission fundraiser at our church. This queen sized kit came to us with a few pieces missing, so our resourcefulness was challenged in coming up with some substitute fabrics.

Mary did all of the beautiful applique work and most of the piecing. She also did the quilting, which is a leaf pantograph. My contribution was in collaboration, a little of the piecing, and in doing the binding.

It is so much fun to have a talented quilting partner. I just love working with her!

Yesterday it was hung at church, and that is where the picture was taken. Thanks for looking!

That's such a cheerful-looking quilt, you'll be sure to raise a good amount for your missions. Congrats on a beautiful project.

Oh wow, that is pretty. I love the colors. I would be very hard pressed to try and pick the fabric you had to get creative with. You did a very good job because every fabric plays so nicely with every other fabric in the quilt.
