    mean ol' quilt!

I've been working on this for a long time. I started thinking of it as a Mean Ol' Quilt. Way too many things went wrong and it got to the point that I didn't want to work on it but I persevered and it is finally finished! It is not quite lumpy as it looks. I laid it out on top of weeds, dirt and spring dandilions so now must go wash it and get rid of the pollen on it! The second pic is the original focus fabric.

It’s stunning I never would have thought of those prints in a kaleidoscope pattern.

I did not have a pattern. I've done several 'One Block Wonder' Quilts and this is just another version of that.

That turned out Great! Well worth sticking to it. And, you give many of us ( me for sure) hope that if we keep going back to our own ( mean ol quilt) they will in fact turn out worth it. I have 2 that I haven’t exactly given up on but certainly stopped working on. I Love your finish edges. The whole quilt is wonderful.

I'm really glad you stuck to the project until it was finished. It is beautiful and very unique. I really enjoy seeing OBWs. I am amazed at the outcome when I look at the fabric you started with.

Your mean ol' quilt is gorgeous. I know when I have one like that, I can't wait to give it away. Fast. No matter how much time it has taken to complete.

I think this turned out fabulous! Would love to see some pictures of the quilting you did in the orange solid area. So glad you stuck with it and persevered because it really is a beautiful quilt. I too love how you scalloped the edges just in the areas where you put the hexis in the border. Really unique and special.
