It's done, I just wish I had not ran out of the dark brown. I could have done the center block and the last border. The binding will be the brown and white plaid.

It looks nice as is! You can't tell that you wanted to put the border around your center square or add that on a border. You did a great job of finishing your quilt after not being able to locate any more of the fabric.

I did post and no one had any. A very nice lady sent me a little bit but it was not the same. I looked all over on line and the wording on the edge came up with nothing.

It's beautiful. If you had not mentioned it I never would have known you didn't want it with a plainer center square.

P.S. Your dogs are great. We used to have Boxers. Miss them terribly, but the yard is too small to make them happy.

Thought the center square was intentionally different because it was .....well, the center square.

    Very nice, I like browns.

I went to Joann's today and bought the material for the back. They have a half off alot of their quilting material. I also used my 50% off coupon to get the backing for another one I am going to do and also picked up some backing for the one I am going to make for DH. All at half off.

My friend who I am making it for went threw all of my bundles (material I have put together in bundles to make quilts) and she picked out this bunch. Some day I will have to post my bundles, I think I have probably about 20 complete sets and working on about 15 more.

I love it!!! With the borderless block in the center, it makes the star design pop out more in the center of the quilt!!! It looked to me like you planned it that way :D:D:D

It is a good thing we all like it because I was not left with a choice but to boarder it in the green. The dark brown diamond in the center looks a bit smaller than the others to me, but it is the same size. I picked up the backing for it at Joann's today for 50% off.

That is just beautiful. The center didn't need the dark brown. I like it the way it is. Great job. Thanks for sharing.
