if you haven't attached the soldiers bearing the coffin you might go bigger with them to take up more of the foreground-it is a stunning and very emotional quilt Thank you for sharing

You've given me some good ideas so far. I know my soldiers should have been bigger. But, geez..... They are already attached. I agree that there is too much space inbetween the soldiers. If I put them on a path, I'll have to take them loose to put it under them. But, that is doable. Thanks!

Oh my, that is wonderful. I can't think of any suggestions that would make it better.

Are these soldiers or Marines? By the uniforms it almost looks like Marines to me. I did not see your original post, but is it is for a Marine their motto is "Semper Fi" - always faithful. Maybe you could incorporate that?

I'm not sure if they are Army or Marines. I just put them in dress uniforms for the funeral. My cousin was in the Army. He was shot down the day before he was due to come home. I was about 10 years old at the time. (I'm way older than that now) I didn't know "Semper FI" was the Marine motto. That is so nice. Maybe I can print that out on the bottom of the quilt. I plan to dedicate it to all of the soldiers who lost their lives for our country. Thanks so much for your input on this.
