Here are some pictures of the lastest quilt I finished at 2 am today. It is dedicated to the memory of my maternal grandparents who retired from their farm to a lake house on Lake Miniwahwah, near McGregor MN. We spent many wonderful years on the lake, Both played a large roll in my sewing and quilting. Grandma for teaching and grandpa for helping me stay focased when I would get discouraged when It wouldnt turn out right. Always said If it was worth learning then I needed to learn to do it right, So rip it out I did, many times.

I love and miss them dearly every day.

Michelle

That is a beautiful quilt and what wonderful peaceful colors! And a great tribute to your grandparents! And a great reminder of the beautiful lakes in Minn.
My mom and my aunt taught my sisters and I to sew, embroider & knit. And both of them, especially my aunt, would make us take it out and re-do it if it wasn't right. When my aunt passed away, my sister spoke at her funeral and made us all laugh when she reminded us of how Aunt Ellen would make us take out "those galloping stitches" when we were learning hand sewing.
