This was a T-shirt that belonged to the mother of a high school friend. She sent me 2 t-shirts, a piece of pj's about 12" sq and a pair of pyjama pants. "Please make TWO memory quilts."

I have been having dreams about her calling me up after Christmas and saying, "From what's left over I want quilts for all my brothers and sisters" (There's 8 of them!)

Hi Mamagus, yes I remember you posting that you'd been asked to do this, and that you had dragonflies to work with - I just couldn't see how you had the spattered effect around the edges - is that all T shirt, the dark blue? Oh I'm so nosy aren't I?

Here's a close-up of the center block. I talked about using hearts with Anne and she agreed. I included all the children who grew up with her ( natural, adopted and fostered until adulthood siblings).

I hope it works for them!

I found a piece of eyelet that was embroidered like wings ( if you use your imagination) I used that for the wings and then I used the navy fabric from the quilt for the dragonfly body.

It absolutely DOES look like wings and I love the names in the hearts. What a beautiful thing you've created. :D
