Memory Quilt

Memory Quilt
A friend's daughter, whom I taught several years ago, is moving away because of her job. Her mom asked me to make a memory quilt for her using photos from her childhood. I enjoyed making the quilt, despite the heaviness of the photo transfer fabric. It's the first time I used so much of it in a quilt. They are both thrilled with the quilt, so I'm also very happy.
Mom made lots of design decisions: colors, placement, and stippling for quilting. She wanted the pictures to be the most important part of the quilt, so that's what we went for. It went fairly quickly, except for the math. I made a mistake in figuring. It's a good thing I teach English!
