    Meow!

Some time ago, Puppy Paws, a member of this group, posted pictures of a quilt that she had named “Claire's Cats”. I fell in love with it, and decided to make a small version. I found three neat cat silhouettes online and one in my EQ5, and made a wall hanging. Where hers has 24 blocks, mine has just 4. She did a beautiful job, with adding accent lines for the cats faces and little mice, birds, and fish that they are playing with, and if she sees this I want to thank her for the inspiration.

Machine applique, with batiks for the cats, and regular fabric in the background. The size is 30 X 28 ½ inches.

Very cute! I love cats and batiks.

It reminds me that I just found a pattern that I want to make; it's called "Arnie" and it's from Bunny Hill Designs. Now I just have to choose my fabrics (should I use my batiks or all my cat fabrics?). For now it goes on my to do list.
