We have rain in NY also. The nice kind that sinks in. The weather man kept saying rain and now it is here. Great for our well and the garden. Went out to feed the chickens and collect the eggs. A cassarole & quilting kind of day.

My daughter just finished her admissions application for Baylor, so I may be in your area a lot. Our next visit is September 30/October 1. Any cute quilt shops, anything neat we should see or restaurants you can suggest?
I have 7 wonderful friends that I go to see frequently in Waco. There is one great quilt shop (can't remember the name) but I googled quilt stores Waco and found it. I will be watching to see more places to go!

God answers prayer! One of the posters several days ago was telling about how dry Texas was. I've been praying for all the dry states. "It's beginning to rain, rain....

Thanks Janie! The first time I went to Waco was the summer 2007. I was with my older daughter, Meghan and she was looking for a grad school. I found it hard to get around Waco, but I didn't have a GPS. When we went this June, I dropped youngest daughter Kelly off at the Renaissance Scholar Program hosted by Baylor. I was suppose to pick her up on Saturday, but Meghan who now lives in the Ft. Worth area met me there on Friday and spent the night with me. I had a GPS so we could get to shopping centers and stuff, but that just don't give you the personality of the area, so it would be fun to do some exploring.

I think I am going to have plenty of opportunities to visit Waco because I am almost positive that Kelly will go there. My heart is happy because I think it is a perfect fit for her, but my checking account is crying! :(

I'm so glad that you finally got some rain!!
We didn't get any of that rain, it spit on us for about 5 minutes and then all the clouds were gone soon after.

Wish you could send us a little. Yard is turning brown and leaves are falling. No rain to speak of in quiet a while.
