    Michele's quilt

I am making a quilt for my niece that has breast cancer, she is 36 years old with a six year old and a one year old boys. She had a double mastectomy on December 4th and is now undergoing chemo. I am making this as a quilt to take with her (if I ever get it done) to chemo treatments. It is cotton fabrics on the front and will be bubblegum pink flannel on the back. I also made a bag for her to carry the quilt and whatever else she may need to her treatments! Hope she likes it!!! Keep her and her family in your prayers!! Thank you.

What a wonderful quilt. I know she will just love it and appreciate it while getting chemo. Did you embroider the little sayings and pics or was it a panel? It turned out beautiful either way. Congrats to you.You are a loving aunt.

My prayers are with your niece and her family. She will love using the quilt, just knowing that you cared enough about her to make such a lovely quilt.

I'm sure your niece will love her quilt, they say that people having chemo get cold so she will be wrapped in warmth and love when she uses the quilt. My daughter is 45 and found out the day after Thanksgiving that she had breast cancer. She had her surgery on Dec 15 and was suppose to start radiation on Jan 15 but the doctors decided that they wanted to wait until she healed more before they started. She caught her cancer early so was at stage 0 so hopefully she will be cancer free forever.
