Default mini brown Bargello

I just finished this mini brown Bargello. It is for our guild's miniature quilt auction at our next quilt show. I am pleased with it, but I sure am glad it is done. I couldn't get it out of my mind until I had made it, and now I can get back to the project I took a break from.

Love it! Don't know how people work with those little pieces, but yours is great!

Thanks, I learned several things as I made this, which is always the case. In this instance, I learned that I could have done better if I had used fewer than 12 fabrics, the pattern would have presented itself better, and I learned there are easier ways to make a mini for our auction! Oh, I also learned that my math isn't as good as I thought it was, as this quilt ended up way too long and I had to cut off 4 inches of hard-sewn quilt to make it look proportional, and it is still a bit longer than I think it should be.

Luckily, I like learning...

Dina, Well, I think your quilt is fantastic! Somewhat subtle and peaceful I would say. Love that brown fabric with the daisy (?) on it. I first thought it was a snowflake but either way, it all turned out great. Wish I were there to bid on it.

Yes, the brown fabric has daisies on it. According to all I have read about Bargellos, you shouldn't use a print as large as that or a print that leaves some of the squares with only a solid color. So I broke a few rules using it, but I really like that fabric. A snowflake would be good too. I like snowflakes also.
