    I whipped up this mini applique sampler top. Is the border too loud?

    such a beautiful sampler. you say mini, what is the size? i'm thinking of doing a mini, is it fun to work on a small scale? how are you going to quilt it? i am anxious to see the finished quilt. the colors are wonderful and the blocks are lovely. you did a great job. thanks for sharing.

    No, I like it - you have included some of the border fabric in at least one of the blocks, so that helps to tie it in.

    I love both of these samplers. And I think the border on the first one just kind of sets it off!!

    How are you going to quilt them?

    Your mini quilt is beautiful - the border really ties in the different fabrics and looks nice alongside the light background.
